The space

A fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to cook, and a lobster pot, shell crackers and clam knives let you make the most of fresh seafood. Napkins, basic condiments, herbs and spices are provided, along with coffee pods for the Keurig and assorted teas for the electric kettle. The cupboards hold dishes, glasses, mugs, wine glasses and flatware for eight.

Guests sleep in two queen bedrooms — the Lighthouse Room and the Butterfly Room — each with luggage racks, a dresser, a closet and a ceiling fan. Bed linens, bath sheets, hand towels, washcloths, beach towels, throws and extra blankets are plentiful. The bathroom has a single sink with a large countertop and a walk-in shower stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash; the washer, dryer, detergent and first aid kit are in there too.

Getting in, and parking

The condo comes with two reserved spaces in the private lot behind the building. A covered stairwell of fifteen steps leads from the parking area up to the kitchen door at the back. If stairs are difficult, you can pull up briefly on Long Beach Ave. to unload and come in from the front, where there are only three steps — though parking in front can be hard on weekends and at the busiest beach hours.

What is yours, and what is shared

Guests have the whole condo to themselves. The two parking spaces are for condo renters only. On the beachfront patio, shared with one other unit, the Sea Snug has its own seating and a small table and umbrella. A small locked storage room beside the parking lot is ideal for surfboards and other large items; that one is shared with the other units in the building.

Good to know

The Sea Snug is a ground-level unit, with one unit beneath and two above. Herbs, spices, condiments and some basic food items are left out for guests’ convenience; the owners are not responsible for any adverse effects from consuming them.
